Bio-potential Monitoring

Anthony Portelli wrote his PhD thesis on bio-potential monitoring, attempting to develop technology that can make EEG monitoring convenient and easy to use and even easy to build. Electrodes were designed that allow a user to record activity from any area of the the body with and without direct electrical contact (active resistive and capacitive). As a sample of the technology and for fun really, we have supplied here schematics and instructions on how to build an active electrode amplifier for high quality EMG and ECG recordings.

A basic overview of bio-potentials and their acquisition can be found here.
